Acknowledgement of Receipt of Documents

The Acknowledgementof Receipt of Documents provides a tool for the dealer to document information given to the customer without keeping duplicate copies in the deal jacket. It is intended for use with the Initial Privacy Notice and Risk-Based Pricing Notice -- neither of which require the dealer to retain a signed copy. By collecting the customers' signatures in one place, on the Acknowledgement, dealers adequately document the transaction while avoiding keeping copies of the Privacy Notice and the Risk Based Pricing Notice or Exception Notice in the deal jacket.
