If a warranty is part of the sale, the dealership must provide a written copy of the warranty documents at delivery. For new vehicles, the warranty documents are provided by the manufacturer. It is the dealership's responsibility to complete the warranty forms before presenting them to the consumer. For used vehicles, if a warranty is provided by the dealer, WATDA recommends use of WATDA form #12, Used Vehicle Limited Warranty. The Used Vehicle Limited Warranty is a versatile form that allows for various levels of warranty coverage. If your dealership uses the same warranty for all covered vehicles you can have your dealership's warranty terms imprinted on the forms at no additional charge when ordering forms imprinted with your name.
